vs.

Mountain West

Offense
QB: Alex Smith, Utah
RB: LaDainian Tomlinson, TCU
RB: Mike Anderson, Utah
WR: Steve Smith, Utah
WR: Keenan McCardell, UNLV
TE: Itula Mili, BYU
LT: John Tait, BYU
LG: Kyle Turley, SDSU
C: Johnathan Ingram, SDSU
RG: Chris Kemoeatu, Utah
RT: Jordan Gross, Utah

P: Randall Cunningham, UNLV*
K: Rod Roddy, TCU*

Defense
DE: Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, SDSU
DT: La'Roi Glover, SDSU
NT: Bryce Fisher, Air Force
DE: Aaron Schobel, TCU
LB: Brian Urlacher, New Mexico
LB: Joey Porter, Colorado State
LB: Clark Haggans, Colorado State
CB: Andre Dyson, Utah
CB: Jason Craft, Colorado State
FS: Robert Griffith, SDSU
SS: Brian Russell, SDSU

* Incredibly, there isn't a single punter or kicker currently in the NFL from the Mountain West Conference. So, we took some liberties. Cunningham punted very rarely, so he seems fair. Rod Roddy? Well, he kicks butt, so why not pigskin? (Put aside the fact that he's passed on to the ultimate game of Plinko.)

SEC

Offense
QB: Peyton Manning, Tennessee
RB: Shaun Alexander, Alabama
FB: Tony Richardson, Auburn
WR: Hines Ward, Georgia
WR: Darrell Jackson, Florida
TE: Ben Watson, Georgia
LT: Willie Anderson, Auburn
LG: Alan Faneca, LSU
C: Kevin Mawae, LSU
RG: Shawn Andrews, Arkansas
RT: Chris Samuels, Alabama

P: Donnie Jones, LSU
K: John Kasay, Georgia

Defense
DE: Jevon Kearse, Florida
DT: Anthony McFarland, LSU
NT: Marcus Stroud, Georgia
DE: John Abraham, South Carolina
LB: Andra Davis, Florida
LB: Takeo Spikes, Auburn
LB: Karlos Dansby, Auburn
DB: Champ Bailey, Georgia
DB: Dunta Robinson, South Carolina
DB: Corey Chavous, Vanderbilt
DB: Ken Lucas, Ole Miss

SEC, although the Alex to Steve show is tempting, kinda.

SEC. Their D-line would dominate.

Hell, if there is no kicker, and you have to scrape bottom to pick Cunningham, why ignore the obvious by not going with Lee Johnson? BYU '85. All-Time leading punter in NFL history with 1163 punts, and second only by 44 yards with 49,428 to Rohn Stark.

MWC, LT, Steve Sith and Brian Urlacher are the best RB, WR and Def players in the NFL.

I'll toss one to MWC. SEC has MWC beat at many positions closely, but when MWC has the lead it is by a longshot.

SEC - if you don't have a kicker or punter, shouldn't that count for something. Even so - - the SEC is still dominating. They'll win the whole thing
