The 1989 Los Angeles Dodgers finished with a record of 77-83. They scored 554 runs and belted 89 home runs to go along with a .240 batting average. The offense was powered by Eddie Murray, who led the team with 20 home runs and 88 RBI. Willie Randolph led the team with 155 hits for a .282 average.

The team allowed 536 runs and had a team ERA of 2.95. Tim Belcher and Orel Hershiser were tied for the team lead in wins with 15. Tim Belcher racked up 200 strkeouts to lead the team. Jay Howell led the team with 28 saves.
