The 1988 Atlanta Braves finished with a record of 54-106. They scored 555 runs and belted 96 home runs to go along with a .242 batting average. The offense was powered by Dale Murphy, who led the team with 24 home runs and 77 RBI. Gerald Perry led the team with 164 hits for a .300 average.

The team allowed 741 runs and had a team ERA of 4.10. Rick Mahler led the pitching staff with 9 wins and 131 strikeouts. Bruce Sutter was the team's best fireman, with 14 saves.
