The 1986 Los Angeles Dodgers finished with a record of 73-89. They scored 638 runs and belted 130 home runs to go along with a .251 batting average. Franklin Stubbs led the team in home runs with 23. Bill Madlock was the best run producer with 60 RBI. Steve Sax led the team with 210 hits for a .332 average. Mariano Duncan had a great year on the basepaths with 48 stolen bases.

The team allowed 679 runs and had a team ERA of 3.76. Fernando Valenzuela led the pitching staff with 21 wins and 242 strikeouts. Ken Howell was the team's best fireman, with 12 saves.
