The 1983 Seattle Mariners finished with a record of 60-102. They scored 558 runs and belted 111 home runs to go along with a .240 batting average. The offense was powered by Pat Putnam, who led the team with 19 home runs and 67 RBI. Dave Henderson led the team with 130 hits for a .269 average. Julio Cruz had a great year on the basepaths with 33 stolen bases.

The team allowed 740 runs and had a team ERA of 4.19. Matt Young led the team with 11 wins. Jim Beattie struck out 132 batters to lead the team. Bill Caudill was the team's best fireman, with 26 saves.
