1906 Boston Beaneaters
The Boston Beaneaters played their last year under the Beaneaters name. Under the managment of Fred Tenney, the team finished in 8th place with a record of 49-102. Their win-loss percentage of .325 (won 32.5% percent of their games) was their worst percentage ever in their history since the franchise started playing, but not the worst record all-time. With some exceptions, including a World Series win in 1914, the franchise played sub-.500 or close to .500 baseball for most of the early 20th century (first 50 years).
