1882 Boston Red Caps
The Boston Red Caps, predeccesor to the Atlanta Braves franchise, played their last year as the Red Caps in 1882. 1882 aslo marked the first year that Hall of Fame manager Harry Wright did not manage the franchise and the first year that John Morill manged anywhere. Under their new manager, the team finished in fourth place in the National League, with a record of 45-39.
