1876 Boston Red Caps
The Atlanta Braves franchise started in 1871 in Boston as the Boston Red Stockings of the National Association. In 1876, the team moved to the National League and became the Boston Red Caps. In that year, the team went 39-31 and finished 4th in the standings.
