1871 Boston Red Stockings

The Atlanta Braves franchise started in 1871 in Boston as the Boston Red Stockings, and played in the National Association]]. The team played from 1871 to 1875 as the Boston Red Stockings and won 4 pennants. In 1871, the team ended the year with a record of 20-10 and finished 3rd in the standings under Hall of Fame manager Harry Wright.
