"The U" should quit football

The University of Miami, after the LSU debacle, stomping on the logo at Louisville, and now the most vicious, violent spectacle in College Football history against Florida International, is officially the most out of control football program, ever. What happened on the field Saturday night should NEVER happen. Miami players swinging their helmets, stomping on the back of legs, punching, kicking, none of it was even close to being acceptable. If this was an isolated incident, then I might consider suspending the offending players for the rest of year. But seeing has how this is becoming a trend of "Miami Football", I believe more severe action must be taken by the NCAA, because as of yet, the University seems unable, or worse yet, unwilling to stop the madness.
Miami should forfeit the rest of the games of year, be removed from post season consideration, and undergo a probation - cutting the amount of scholarships and being disqualified from bowl games for a couple of years. Larry Coker should be fired. Any players being shown on tape doing any of the above behavior should be kicked off the team and unable to play for any other college team. The NCAA needs to make an example of the 'Canes to put an end to this kind of behavior - period.
The proof that The U coaches don't seem to care too much can be heard in post game statements. Larry Coker says "This won't be a big negative on the University of Miami, I'll put it that way." Really? It won't? Please, Larry, you aren't that stupid, are you? Coker must have really let the team have it in the locker room too, because Kyle Wright, Miami Quarterback sure was apologetic in post game interviews. "It's something they started and our guys finished it. ... They're going home with a 35-0 loss and they're 0-7." Niiiiiiiice. Way to go guys, you really showed them a thing or too.
To contrast, the Florida International coaches were singing a different tune after the game. "Whatever penalty is handed down, especially from us, we're going to make it the most severe. We don't condone that. It's embarrassing.", FIU coach Don Strock said after the game. Larry Coker and his staff could learn a think or two from Mr. Strock.
