"The Gospel" Week 8 Quarterbacks

After two long weeks of technical difficulties and the ending of football season I’m back to posting “The Gospel” series. Remember, this is not a start’em sit’em series but more of a guide to help when drafting in weekly cash competitions, when making tough decisions, or when deciding whom to start.

Here’s a look at this weeks top 10 signal callers:

1. Tom Brady: Not only is Brady the top QB he should also be the top player chosen in any draft and an obvious starter in seasonal leagues. Projected Points: 32

2. Peyton Manning : Don’t look for any type of letdown in Carolina as Manning prepares to remain sharp for their week 9 match-up against New England. Projected Points: 27

3. Derek Anderson : On the road playing of turf against a defense that couldn’t stop my grandmother. Coming off of a bye week expect Anderson to be fully prepared to torch the Rams. Projected Points: 26

4. Brett Favre : Favre loves the spotlight and what better place that MNF against a team that allowed four touchdown receptions last week. Projected Points: 24

5. Eli Manning : Neither defense will show up for this shoot out in London. Trust me, the NFL is their to offer the fans a show and Manning will be a huge part of these big numbers. Projected Points: 22

6. Brian Griese : Surprise, Surprise! Griese is tossin’ dimes right now and at home versus Detroit things will get even better. Do not be surprised at a 2 or 3 touchdown passing game because the Lions cannot stop anyone and the Chicago running game is non-existent. Projected Points: 22

7. Carson Palmer : Having all the options that he has it won’t matter that Palmer’s playing the Steelers. They’re at home and Palmer will continue to produce excellent numbers. Projected Points: 20

8. Ben Roethlisberger :The Steelers haven’t looked too sharp on the road this season in losses to Arizona and Denver last week. However, Cincy is another defense that continues to struggle in every category. Promising day for “Big Ben”! Projected Points: 18

9. Donovan McNabb : Struggling is an understatement for these Eagles and even though McNabb “hates losing” he’s not the only one. Projected Points: 16

10. Philip Rivers : Acquiring Chris Chambers should bode well for Rivers who’s having major difficulties finding an open receiver other than Gates. Having an up and down season thus far, Rivers should find some success in Houston. Projected Points: 15

Good job, but I do think that Eli Manning should be higher than number 5. Oh, and by the way, you misspelled Derek.
