More “Gospel” today concerning Wide Receivers that will produce above and beyond their weekly ranking and others who will fall well below their projected production.
If you have to make a tough roster decision all fantasy football enthusiasts will want to read the Bruno Boys weekly rankings on a consistent basis.
Overvalued!
Chad Johnson: There is only so much damage that the Bengals will do to this Browns defense. This is a pride game for the Browns and Johnson’s projected 24 points is way too high. Look for 85 yards and a touchdown for Chad and a maximum of 16 fantasy points.
Reggie Wayne: Not this week for Wayne as Addai, Harrison, and Clark find paydirt. Eighteen is never out of reach, but more like 14 in week 2 for Wayne.
Larry Fitzgerald: It will take Leinart a couple more games to hit a nice stride. They’re home and could pull off a win, but after a poor showing on Monday Night Football Fitzgerald has to prove that he’s ready to play this season. Sixteen is way too high for a guy that didn’t show up last week.
Marques Colston: Make me a believer Colston! As I have said all preseason, Colston’s rookie season was a fluke and even though he may find a few good games this season it will not be this week, as the Saints will go back to basics and find a win. Colston will produce another week of 7-10 points which is well below his projected sixteen.
T.J. Houshmanzadeh: Rudi Johnson has never had less than 100 yards rushing against the Browns. You know what that means? This week one or two of the Cincinatti receivers will lack fantasy production. Less than the expected 16 points and 9 at the most for ‘Housh’.
Plaxico Burress: Burress has never had a season with more than 10 touchdowns and with three last week you do the math. With a possible backup starting this week if Burress catches more than 3-4 balls I’d be surprised.
Undervalued!
Randy Moss: Last week was no fluke for Moss and the proposed 15 points is just a little too low this week. May not have over 150 receiving, but Moss will see the endzone twice this week and pick-up at least 90 yards.
Calvin Johnson: A projected nine points this week but he’s playing against an awesome Minnesota defense. Don’t count on it, Johnson will find pay dirt again and may find his first 100 yard receiving day.
Santonio Holmes: Holmes is the truth this year and a receiver that will prove that on a weekly basis. Once again 9 points is a relatively low number so expect 13-15 this week in a tougher matchup for the Steelers.
Chris Chambers: Chambers will torch this weak Cowboys secondary. He won’t have a Burress day, but he will have 17-20 points which is well over his projected thirteen.
Joey Galloway: Does Jason David still hold the starting job? Doesn’t matter, Galloway finds the endzone this week and scores better than the 11 points listed. Look for over 14 this week against a less than average Saints defense.
Mark Clayton: May be a marginal play, but in leagues where added depth is necessary Clayton will add value. Held scoreless last week and two weeks in a row would be a huge surprise and disappointment. Clayton becomes involved in this offense and reaches double digits this week.
