"I could've done that," said Rex's thoughts

The Chicago Bears hoped for a little help from Mr. Brian Griese on Sunday against the Detroit Lions, but that didn't work out too good. Brian may have threw 2 touchdown passes, which is one more than Rex Grossman had all season, and he may have threw for over half the yards Grossman has thrown for all season (Grossman: 500 Griese: 286), but he threw 3 interceptions...against the Lions...who gave up 56 points to the Philadelphia Eagles. Last week against the Dallas Cowboys, Rex Grossman threw 3 interceptions, one which was returned for a touchdown. Griese did the same thing on Sunday. Two key interceptions were in their red zone which they could have easily scored, playing the Lions defense and all. The other interception was ran back for a touchdown by Lions cornerback, Kevin Smith. One excuse that we can make is that the defense isn't helping out. A handful of Bears defensive starters are out with injury including Mike Brown. The Bears were leading 13-3 going into the 4th quarter but the Lions decided to break a record for most points scored in the 4th quarter (34). The Bears have fallen to 1-3 and they have to go and play Brett Farve and his impressive looking Green Bay Packers. Not to worry Bears fans. Griese hasn't started agame since the 2005 season before tearing his ACL. He just has to get his head together. Rex has had since last season to accomplish that. For now it looks like we can make those excuses for Griese right now but if Brian keeps doing his Rex Grossman impersonation, Lovie Smith will have to make a change, again. Im sorry Lovie Smith but if Griese is your solution to the Bears offense, maybe you should just play the position yourself. I guess Devin Hester is your only offensive threat that doesn't even play on offense."We're not playing at a high level," said offensive coordinater, Ron Turner. "We had a new quarterback. We leaned on the best players we had to offer."
All in favor of starting Kyle Orton? Say I.
Yeah, I thought so.
